Namale wins ‘Best Honeymoon’ award
BRIDES Magazine names Tony's Fiji resort a top destination for newlyweds
Years ago, Tony traveled to Fiji, a tiny island nation in the South Pacific, and fell in love – then invested in a gorgeous resort property to share his love of the country with the world.
This week, we are excited to announce that BRIDES magazine has recognized Namale Resort & Spa as a Top Resort in the South Pacific, as part of their prestigious 2016 Best Honeymoons Awards.
Namale offers 19 private luxury bures (Fijian for “home”) and villas spread across 525 gorgeous acres on Fiji’s second-largest island, Vanua Levu. A boutique, five-star resort, Namale prides itself on offering ultra-all-inclusive experiences for those looking for pure seclusion, privacy, and exclusivity – making it an ideal tropical honeymoon destination.
The BRIDES Best Honeymoon Awards are chosen by a panel of the magazine’s editors and Virtuoso agents (a network of over 11,000 luxury travel specialists) and focus on highlighting the most romantic and luxe honeymoon locales in the world.
Namale was designed unlike any other resort in Fiji. It was originally built as a second home for Tony, complete with guest villas for his friends and family to visit; the property is ultra-unique in that no two bures and villas are exactly alike. All of the accommodations feature traditional Fijian design such as thatched roofs and stone-tiled showers, tying the resort into the fabric of the island’s natural beauty and robust culture.
The resort also boasts a 10,000 square-foot, award-winning spa nestled into a volcanic cliff overlooking the Koro Sea, and two on-site restaurants featuring elevated, world-class cuisine inspired by local island flavors, with influences from India and Southeast Asia.
Some of the world’s most influential executives and celebrities have stayed at Namale, including fashion icon Donna Karan, NBA coach Pat Riley, actors Russell Crowe, Edward Norton, Meg Ryan and Mike Myers, and musician and producer Quincy Jones.
Beyond the recent BRIDES award, Namale has been recognized by numerous other magazines and industry leaders for its excellence of service and unique offerings, including:
- 2016 TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice Award Winner in Luxury
- #1 Spa in Fiji by Luxury Spa Finder magazine
- “One of the Top 50 Most Romantic Places on Earth” by Luxury Magazine
- Voted #1 Honeymoon Suites in Fiji, #5 in the world by Modern Bride magazine
- Past host location of ABC’s romance TV hit, The Bachelorette
